1.94 MILLION STUDENTS SAT FOR 2024 JAMB-REGISTRAR

The Registrar, Joint Admission an matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Ishaq Oloyede, said not less than 1.94 million candidate sitting for the 2024 examinations in the state. Oloyede speak in Kaduna on Wednesday, inspecting Computer Based Test (CBT) centres amidst the ongoing JAMB examinations, He reports that by the exam completion today, there be fewer than 100,000 candidates remaining in Benue, Lagos, and other states, Oloyede explaining that JAMB cleared candidate and captured biometrics at a faster pace.

The Registrar frowns at exam cheating, emphasizing “It does not pay.” He mention that most problems JAMB faced is impersonation, pointing out many cases candidate with double National Identification Number (NIN). JAMB need communicate with National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) on this issue,

“We are ahead of the impersonators, we found a dad write exams for his son, parenting nowadays is strange, I wonder what the father says in jail with his son.” Oloyede further state that they now have the tools to check all forms of impersonation and malpractices.
